Implementation Support

Move from good intentions to a more robust and consistent approach.

Many organizations already recognize that intimacy, sexuality, body image, and relationships belong within whole-person cancer care. The harder question is how to make that recognition part of everyday practice.

CancerEVOLVE offers three ways to help organizations put intimacy-informed care into place, depending on how much support they need.

Where could we begin?

There are many ways to strengthen intimacy-informed care. The right starting point depends on what is already happening within your organization and where greater clarity or support would be most useful.

Resources & Visibility

Having resources available does not necessarily mean patients will encounter them when they need them.

CancerEVOLVE helps organizations consider where and how intimacy-related support becomes visible throughout care.

Intimacy-Informed Care Essentials

Practical tools and guidance for organizations ready to get started

Our Essentials program gives your organization a practical foundation for intimacy-infomred care that you can begin using within the programs and services you already provide.

Your team receives CancerEVOLVE tools, resources, and guidance to help staff introduce the subject, respond when concerns arise, understand what falls within their role, and connect people with additional support when needed.

Essentials is designed for organizations that have the internal capacity to lead the work themselves and want a strong structure to work from.

Best for organizations that want to:

  • Give staff practical language and guidance
  • Make useful education and support easier for staff to access
  • Clarify what staff can do when concerns arise
  • Strengthen first-line support
  • Begin building a more consistent approach without a larger consulting engagement

Intimacy-Informed Care Foundation

A 90-day partnership to establish intimacy-informed care within your organization

Our Foundation program is for organizations that want more than tools. CancerEVOLVE works alongside your team to understand what is already in place, identify what needs strengthening, and establish a practical foundation for intimacy-informed care.

Over 90 days, we help your organization develop the structures that allow staff to recognize concerns, respond appropriately, connect patients with the right level of support, and make the approach easier to sustain.

By the end of the engagement, your organization will have a defined minimum standard for intimacy-informed care, clearer staff roles and expectations, practical language for introducing and responding to concerns, a response and referral pathway, curated resources, an initial group of trained staff, and a plan for continuing the work.

Best for organizations that want to:

  • Establish a shared organizational approach
  • Determine who should do what
  • Strengthen conversations, resources, and referral pathways together
  • Put practical structures into place rather than addressing one piece at a time
  • Have CancerEVOLVE actively guide the implementation

Which level of support makes sense?

If your organization has people who can lead the work internally and primarily needs a strong set of tools and guidance, Essentials may be enough to get started.

If you need help deciding how intimacy-informed care should work within your particular organization—and want support putting the pieces into place—Foundation provides a more hands-on implementation partnership.

You do not need to know which one you need before contacting us.
