We exist because support for the changes cancer can bring to intimacy, sexuality, relationships, body image, and identity remains inconsistent.

Meet CancerEVOLVE's Founder - Claire Rumore
CancerEVOLVE reflects the intersection of several parts of my professional life that, at first glance, may not seem connected. For more than two decades, my work has focused on intimacy, relationships, body awareness, and the ways people navigate vulnerability during times of change.
As a somatic practitioner, intimacy coach, educator, and consultant, I have spent years listening to the questions and concerns people struggle to bring up.
My own experience as a cancer survivor brought the need for safe spaces for such questions into an entirely different light. (You can read about my healing journey here.)
I began to see how often concerns about intimacy, sexuality, body image, and relationships were present in the cancer experience but how seldom they were addressed. Support might exist, but patients did not always know where to find it, and care team members did not always know what was available, how to ask, or what to do next.
CancerEVOLVE grew out of wanting to change that.
Recognizing this need led me to shift my focus from working primarily with individuals to helping organizations strengthen their capacity to provide intimacy-informed care.
Today, my work combines lived experience, professional education, implementation thinking, and systems design to help healthcare organizations create environments where conversations and support for intimacy become more approachable, more consistent, and better integrated into everyday care.
Many organizations consider me a trusted guide and ally to empower their patients, equip their teams, and make intimacy-informed care possible in practice.
What It’s Like to Work Together
Every engagement begins with curiosity and a conversation.
Rather than arriving with predetermined recommendations, I begin by listening. I want to understand what your organization is already doing well, where your team feels confident, where uncertainty exists, and what goals matter most to you.
There is no expectation that every organization will follow the same path.
My objective is always the same though: to help organizations make thoughtful decisions that strengthen intimacy-informed care in ways that are practical, sustainable, and meaningful for the people they serve.
Looking Ahead
CancerEVOLVE is being designed to continually grow as an ecosystem for intimacy-informed cancer care and beyond.
Over time, our ecosystem will include professional education (including certifications and CEs), digital guidance tools and software, licensing opportunities, patient-facing resources, live and on-demand programming, research collaborations, and innovative approaches that help bridge the gap between evidence and everyday practice.
The vision is not simply to create more educational materials or more conversations. It is to help make intimacy-informed care an expected, accessible, and sustainable part of cancer care, and ultimately all of health care, wherever people receive support.
